Syrup for the symptomatic relief of all forms of cough not accompanied by expectoration, such as irritative or nervous cough.
Pack of 200 ml.
It is a syrup indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of unproductive dry cough (irritable or nervous cough ).
It is intended for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
12 years and over: 5 ml every 4-8 hours (3 or 6 times a day).
Children 6 years to 12 years: 2.5 ml every 4-8 hours (3-6 times a day).
Children 2 years to 6 years: 1.25 ml every 4-8 hours (3-6 times a day).
Do not use Novag Tuss:
In children under 12 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active substances or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, except on medical advice.
Novag Tuss 2mg may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Among such effects, drowsiness and dizziness have been reported as common adverse reactions.
Each ml of Novag Tuss contains 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: sodium benzoate (E-211), anhydrous citric acid, liquid maltitol (E-965), sodium saccharin (E-954), propylene glycol, strawberry and contramarum flavourings, purified water, s.s.
Use the measuring spoon for correct administration of the medicine and wash down after each dose.
Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice and drink plenty of water for the duration of the treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes.
If there is no improvement within 7 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
