Syrup for the treatment of unproductive forms of cough in adults and children from 2 years of age.

It is a banana-flavoured syrup used to treat and relieve the symptoms of unproductive coughs, such as irritable coughs or nervous coughs.
It comes in a handy 200 ml bottle.
Intended for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.
The recommended dose varies according to the age of the patient:
12 years and over: 10 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Children 7-12 years: 5 ml every 12 hours (twice a day).
Children 5-6 years: 3 ml every 12 hours (twice a day).
Children 2-4 years: 2 ml every 12 hours (twice a day).
Do not use Flutox syrup:
In children under 2 years of age.
If pregnant or breast-feeding.
In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients present in this medicine.
In case of hypersensitivity to antihistamine drugs.
If you suffer from asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure, liver disease.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with MAOI antidepressants.
Caution and evaluation in intraocular pressure, prostatic hypertrophy, arterial hypertension, bladder disorders, cardiac arrhythmia, myasthenia gravis, peptic ulcer, intestinal or bladder disorders, diabetes.
Caution when driving and using machinery, may cause drowsiness which reduces the ability to concentrate and reflexes.
Flutox syrup may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, the following common side effects have been observed: drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness.
Each ml of Flutox syrup contains 3.54 Cloperastine fendizoate as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Sucrose, Glucose, Microcrystalline cellulose, Carmellose sodium, Polyoxyl-40-stearate, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-216), Banana flavouring (propylene glycol, propylene glycol).(propylene glycol, tincture of banana, isoamylacetate, isoamyl butyrate, clove essence, vanillin, geranyl butyrate, eugenol, lemon essential oil, benzaldehyde, heliotropin, geraniol, dimethylanthranilate, citral, cis-3-hexenol, phenylethylalcohol, water), puticised water c.s.
Use the measuring cup for correct administration of this medicine and wash the cup after each use. In addition, it is recommended to drink plenty of water to hydrate the mucous membranes and to avoid drinking alcoholic beverages for the duration of the treatment.
