It is a medicine that works by inhibiting the cough reflex. It is therefore used to relieve the symptoms of nervous or irritative coughs, thanks to its formula containing cloperastine.
It comes in a convenient 120 ml bottle.
Adults and children over 2 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children between 2 and 4 years: 2 ml every 12 hours.
Children between 5 and 6 years: 3 ml every 12 hours
Children between 7 and 12: 5 ml every 12 hours
12 years and older: 10 ml every 8 hours.
Do not use Cinfatusine 120 ml in:
Children under 2 years of age is contraindicated.
Pregnancy and lactation: under medical supervision.
It is contraindicated if you are allergic to allergy medicines (antihistamines) and if you are taking medicines for depression.
Like all medicines, Cinfatusine oral suspension may cause side effects:
Frequent: mental confusion, nausea, vomiting, constipation and fatigue.
Very common: dizziness, drowsiness.
The active substance in Cinfatusine 120 ml is cloperastine. Each ml of oral suspension contains 3.54 mg cloperastine fendizoate (equivalent to 2 mg cloperastine hydrochloride).
The other ingredients are: Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-216), Xanthan gum (E-415), Glycerol (E-422), Carbomers (Carbopol 974 P), Macrogol stearate, Banana flavouring, Sodium saccharin (E-954) and Purified water.
Cinfatusine oral suspension comes in a 120 ml container with a measuring cup, syringe and a pleasant banana flavour.
Do not take more than the amount indicated on this leaflet. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
