Lozenges for the symptomatic treatment of non-productive cough (irritative cough, nervous cough). From 12 years of age.
Contains 20 lozenges.
It is a medicine for the treatment of symptoms of non-productive (irritative, nervous) cough, in the form of lozenges to be sucked.
It is intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the patient's needs:
Take 1 or 2 lozenges (10-20 mg) every 4 hours (without exceeding the maximum dose of 6 intakes per day.
It is also possible to take 3 tablets (30 mg), divided every 6-8 hours, according to need and without exceeding the 4 daily doses.
Do not exceed, in any case, the maximum amount of 12 tablets (120mg) per day, always divided into several doses.
Do not use Cinfatos lozenges:
In children under 12 years of age.
In patients with hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients listed in the composition of this medicine.
In case of asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, high blood pressure, liver diseases.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
During pregnancy and lactation without prior medical consultation.
Cinfatos lozenges may cause side effects , as with all medicines. Among the possible reactions, the following have been observed frequently: drowsiness and dizziness.
Each tablet of Cinfatos lozenges contains 10 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Beta-cyclodextrin, Gum arabic, Sodium cyclamate, Sodium saccharin, Quinoline yellow (E-104), Lime flavouring, Honey flavouring, Levomenthol, Citric acid anhydrous, Maltitol liquid (E-965), Liquid paraffin, Purified water.
These tablets are formulated to dissolve in the mouth and can be taken with or without food. However, do not take with grapefruit or bitter orange juice or alcoholic drinks.
