Treatment of the symptoms of dry or unproductive cough in adults and children from 6 years of age.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a medicine in tablet form indicated for the treatment of symptoms of non-productive or dry (irritative, nervous) cough.
It is intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
12 years and over: 1 tablet every 4 hours (6 times a day).
Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Do not use Novag Tuss tablets:
In children under 6 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active substances and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.
In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure, liver disease.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, except on medical advice.
Novag Tuss Tablets may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: drowsiness and dizziness.
Each ml of Novag Tuss Tablets contains 15 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance.
The tablets can be swallowed whole, broken or crushed, with a little liquid, preferably a glass of water. They can also be taken with or without food. However, do not take with grapefruit or bitter orange juice.
Avoid alcoholic drinks for the duration of this treatment.
If the cough worsens or persists after more than 7 days, consult a doctor.
