This medicine is indicated for the symptomatic relief of colds and flus with mild to moderate pain such as headache, fever, non-productive cough (irritative cough, nervous cough), runny nose and sneezing for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age.
Normogrip Antitussive is a combination of paracetamol, which reduces fever and relieves pain, chlorphenamine, which helps to reduce runny nose and sneezing, and dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant.
Who itis intended for

The granules contained in the Normogrip Antitussivesachets are for oral administration.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents from 14 years of age
1 sachet every 6 or 8 hours (3 or 4 times a day), as needed. Preferably take 1 sachet before going to bed. Do not take more than 4 sachets (equivalent to 2.6 g of paracetamol) a day. See section "Warnings and precautions".
Patients with hepatic insufficiency
1 sachet every 8 hours. Do not take more than 3 sachets (equivalent to 1.95 g of paracetamol) a day. Consult your doctor.
Patients with kidney failure
Youcannot take this medicine because of the dose of paracetamol 650 mg.
Use in children
This medicine is contraindicated in children under 14 years of age, due to the dose of its active substances.
Likeall medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody suffers from them.
The following adverse effects were reported in at least 1 in 100 subjects during clinical trials with chlorphenamine: drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, restlessness, pharyngitis and dyspepsia.
The following adverse reactions occurred with unknown frequency: anaphylactic reaction, hypersensitivity, insomnia, nervousness and restlessness (psychomotor hyperactivity), abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, angioedema (swelling of certain areas of skin). (swellingof certain areas of the skin), pruritus, urticaria, rash, pruriticrash, skin rash, skin lesions after taking the medicine (fixed drug exanthema) as well as increased transaminases.
The simultaneous consumption of alcohol during treatment may increase the occurrence of adverse effects .
Taking more than the recommended dose (overdose) may result in liver damage. In caseof overdose, seek medical advice immediately .
Chronic alcoholics should ask their doctor if they can take paracetamol, other painkillers or fever-reducing medicines. In addition, they should be careful not to take more than 3 sachets per day (2 g of paracetamol).
The active ingredients are paracetamol, chlorphenamine maleate and dextromethorphan hydrobromide. Each sachet contains 650 mg paracetamol, 4 mg chlorphenamine maleate and 20 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol while taking this medicine because this could lead to an overdose of paracetamol that could damage the liver. Do not use more than one medicine containing paracetamol without consulting your doctor.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages during use.
