What is Iniston Mucolytic and what is it for?

It is a medicated syrup formulated to treat upper respiratory tract conditions involving the production and excessive secretion of mucus, associated with colds and flu.

Who it is intended for

It is intended for use in people over 12 years of age.

Instructions for use

Take 1.5 ml of syrup every 8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 3 intakes per day.

Contraindications

Do not use Iniston Mucolytic:

• In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.

• In diabetic patients.

• Patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, impaired thyroid function, asthma or respiratory insufficiency should consult their doctor before taking this product.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Side effects

Iniston Chesty may cause side effects, as with all medicines. These side effects include:

• Frequent: upset stomach, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting.

Composition

Each ml of Iniston Chesty contains 50 mg Carbocisteine as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: Ethanol, Sodium hydroxide, Mirabelle flavouring (includes ethanol and sodium), Citric acid monohydrate, Carmellose sodium, Sodium cyclamate, Methyl parahydroxybibezoate (E218), Disodium edetate, Saccharin sodium, Orange yellow S (E110), Purified water.

Pharmaceutical Opinion

Use the enclosed measuring cup for correct administration of the medicine. Drink a glass of water immediately after each dose, avoiding grapefruit or orange juice.

It is advisable to drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes and thin the mucus, making it easier to pass.

See your doctor if after 5 days of treatment you do not notice any improvement, or if the symptoms worsen.
