Instructions for use
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient.
From 12 years of age: take 5 ml of syrup every 8 hours, 3 times a day.
Children 6-12 years: take 5 ml of syrup every 12 hours, twice a day.
Children 2-5 years: take 2.5 ml of syrup every 12 hours, twice a day.
Contraindications
Do not take Prospantus syrup:
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Children under two years of age.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding are not recommended without consulting a doctor.
Side effects
As with all medicines, Prospantus syrup may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them.
Common: gastrointestinal system reactions such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea.
Rare: allergic reactions such as hives, skin rash, difficulty breathing (dyspnoea).
