Sachets indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract disorders, which involve the production and excessive secretion of mucus, associated with colds and flus.
It comes in a pack containing 12 sachets.
Intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Dissolve 1 granulated sachet in a glass of water and wait until completely dissolved before swallowing. Repeat every 8 hours, up to a maximum of 3 times a day.
Do not use Intermucol in:
Children under 12 years of age.
In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.
In diabetic patients.
In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, without prior consultation with their doctor.
In patients with impaired thyroid function, without medical supervision.
If pregnant.
Intermucol sachets may cause side effects as with all medicines, which does not mean that everybody will suffer from them. In this case, the following frequent reactions have been observed, all of them of a gastrointestinal nature: stomach upset, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting.
Each sachet of Intermucol contains 750 mg Carbocisteine, the main active ingredient of this medicinal product. The other excipients are: saccharin sodium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), raspberry essence, Cochineal Red A (E-124), carmellose sodium, sodium hydroxide, purified water, 1N sodium hydroxide solution (for pH adjustment).
It is advisable to drink plenty of water for the duration of the treatment to moisturise the mucous membranes and thin the mucus, in order to make it easier to pass.
If you do not notice any improvement after 5 days of treatment, or if the symptoms worsen, seek medical advice.
