Mucosan Retard is a medicine in tablet form that treats upper respiratory tract disorders associated with the production and excessive secretion of mucus, associated with colds and flu.
Intended for use in adults.
Take 1 tablet every 24 hours (once a day).
Do not use Mucosan Retard:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Caution in patients taking antibiotics such as amoxicline, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline.
Patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, consult your doctor.
Medical supervision in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Mucosan Retard may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines. In this case, the following frequent adverse reactions have been observed: dysgeusia, pharyngeal hypoaesthesia, nausea and oral hypoaesthesia.
Each capsule of Mucosan Retard contains 75 mg Ambroxol Hydrochloride as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: Crospovidone, Carnauba wax, Stearyl alcohol, Magnesium stearate. The capsule coating agents are: Gelatin, Purified water, Titanium dioxide (E 171), Iron oxide red (E 172), Iron oxide yellow (E 172). White printing ink: shellac, isopropyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide (E 171).
It is recommended to drink plenty of water during treatment to moisturise mucous membranes and thin the mucus to make it easier to pass. If there is no improvement in 5 days or if the symptoms worsen during this time, consult a doctor.
