Syrup for acute and chronic respiratory tract conditions where secretions need to be removed.
Contains 200 ml.
It is a syrup indicated for treating upper respiratory tract disorders associated with the production and excessive secretion of mucus, associated with colds and flu.
Adults and children over 2 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children aged 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml every 8-12 hours (3-2 times a day).
From 12 years of age: 10 ml every 12 hours (2 times a day).
Do not use Muximed syrup:
Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active substances and/or excipients listed in the composition of Muximed Syrup.
Caution in patients taking antibiotics such as amoxicline, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline.
Patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, consult your doctor.
Medical supervision in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Do not use during pregnancy. During lactation, consult your doctor.
Like all medicines, Muximed Syrup may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: dysgeusia, pharyngeal hypoaesthesia, nausea and oral hypoaesthesia.
Each ml of Muximed Syrup contains 6 mg Ambroxol Hydrochloride as the active substance. The other excipients are: Raspberry flavouring, citric acid monohydrate, glycerol (E422), hydroxyethylcellulose, benzoic acid (E210), propylene glycol, sorbitol (E420), saccharin sodium and purified water.
For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring device. Wash the measuring device after each dose. Drink a glass of water after each dose.
Drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes and thin the mucus to make it easier to pass.
Once opened, stable for a maximum of 4 weeks. After this time, discard.
If treatment does not improve within 5 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
