Iniston Mucus and Congestion 20 Mg/ ml + 6 Mg/ ml Syrup, 200 ml

This medicine in syrup form is indicated for the elimination and expulsion of mucus and phlegm in colds and flus with nasal congestion.

It is intended for use in adults and children over 7 years of age.

The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:

• Children 7 to 12 years: take 5 ml every 8 hours, a maximum of 3 times a day.

• From 12 years of age: take 10 ml every 8 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 3 daily doses.

Do not use Iniston Mucus and Congestion:

• In case of hypersensitivity to pseudoephedrineor to any of the active ingredients or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.

• If you are taking or have recently taken MAOI-type medicines.

• If you are taking other nasal decongestants at the same time.

• If you suffer from high blood pressure, prostatic hypertrophy, asthma, respiratory failure, chronic or persistent cough, diabetes, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism.

• In patients with gastroduodenal ulcer, impaired thyroid function, asthma or respiratory insufficiency, consult a doctor in advance.

• If pregnant or breast-feeding.

Iniston Mucus and Congestion may cause side effects, as with all medicines. These side effects include:

• Frequent: restlessness, nervousness, anxiety, muscle tremor, sleep disturbances, taste distortion.

Each ml of Iniston Mucus and Congestion contains 20 mg Guaifenesin and 6 mg Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are: Sucrose, Glycerol (E422), Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Sodium saccharin, Banana flavour, Tartrazine (E110), Orange yellow S (E110), Purified water.

Use the measuring cup provided for correct administration of the medicine. Drink a glass of water immediately after each dose, avoiding drinking grapefruit or orange juice during treatment.

It is advisable to drink plenty of water to hydrate the mucous membranes and thin the mucus. This will make it easier to get rid of the mucus.

In patients with sleep problems, administer hours before bedtime to reduce the risk of insomnia.

See your doctor if after 5 days of treatment you do not notice any improvement, or if symptoms worsen.
