It is a medicine that belongs to the mucolytic family because it deconstructs the mesh that makes up physiological mucus, reducing its viscosity, making it more fluid and facilitating its elimination. For this reason, it is indicated in catarrhal or flu-like processes that are accompanied by phlegm.
It comes in a pack of 10 effervescent tablets, which have a pleasant orange flavour to make it easier to take.
Adults over 18 years of age.
Take 1 tablet a day dissolved in a glass with a little water. Wait for the bubbling to stop before taking.
Do not use Mabo Acetylcysteine:
In children under 2 years of age.
In case of allergy to acetylcysteine or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
If you suffer from a gastroduodenal ulcer.
If you suffer from asthma or respiratory insufficiency.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, except under medical supervision.
Mabo Acetylcysteine tablets may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that everyone will experience them. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Nervous system: headache.
Immune system: hypersensitivity reactions e.g. pruritus, urticaria, rash, bronchospasm.
Hearing and labyrinth: tinnitus, tinnitus
Skin and subcutaneous tissue: hypersensitivity reactions accompanied by urticaria
Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal: shortness of breath, bronchospasm.
Gastrointestinal: abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea or nausea.
Each tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine as the main active substance. The other excipients are: anhydrous citric acid, sorbitol (E-420), sodium bicarbonate, orange flavouring, L-leucine, polyethylene glycol 6000 (macrogol 6000) and saccharin sodium.
This is a mucolytic medicine that works by thinning phlegm or thick mucus to facilitate its expulsion. It is very easy to administer: just dissolve the tablet in a little water and wait until it stops bubbling before taking it.
It is recommended to drink an adequate amount of water and liquids during the day to increase the effectiveness of the drug.
