Syrup for the symptomatic treatment of cough not accompanied by expectoration for adults and children from 6 years of age.
Pack of 200 ml.
It is designed to treat the symptoms of dry or unproductive (irritative, nervous) coughs , i.e. coughs that are not accompanied by expectoration.
Suitable for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Adults and children over 12 years of age : 15 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
Children between 6 - 12 years : 7.5 ml every 8 hours (3 times a day).
In children under 6 years of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients listed in the composition of this medicine.
In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure or liver disease.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, without prior consultation with the doctor.
Cinfatos Syrup may cause side effects , which is the case with all medicines on the market. In this case, the following reactions have been observed frequently: drowsiness and dizziness.
Each ml of Cinfatos Syrup contains 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Sorbitol liquid non-crystallisable (E-420), Sodium benzoate (E-211), Sodium saccharin (E-954), Citric acid monohydrate, Orange flavouring, Ethanol, Purified water.
Use the measuring cup for correct administration of the medicine and wash down after each use. It is advisable to drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to facilitate the action of the mucolytic. Avoid taking with grapefruit or orange juice.
It is important to drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes.
If you do not improve within 7 days or if your symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
