Oral solution with antitussive action that inhibits the cough reflex.
Contains 200 ml.
It is an oral solution indicated for the treatment of symptoms of unproductive cough (irritative, nervous).
Adults and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
From 12 years of age: 5 or 10 mL each, according to need, every 4 hours.
Children 6-11 years: 2.5 or 5 mL, according to need, every 4 hours.
Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients and/or excipients listed in the composition of Aritos 2 Mg/Ml Oral Solution.
Avoid in asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, arterial hypertension, liver diseases.
Do not use if there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
Do not administer to sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
Avoid in patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with dextromethorphan administration.
Pregnancy and lactation, consult a doctor.
Caution in driving and use of machinery.
Like all medicines, Aritos 2 Mg/Ml Oral Solution may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: drowsiness and dizziness.
Each ml of Aritos 2 Mg/Ml Oral Solution contains the following active ingredients: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 2 mg.
As excipients, Aritos 2 Mg/Ml Oral Solution contains: Aspartame (E-951), Sodium benzoate (E-211), Sorbitol liquid non-crystallisable (E-420), Saccharin sodium, Povidone, Citric acid anhydrous, Strawberry flavouring, Purified water.
For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup. Wash the measuring cup after each use.
Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.
Drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate mucous membranes.
If treatment does not improve within 7 days or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
