It is a medicine in the form of an ointment for use on the skin that improves blood flow and helps dissolve blood clots. Its active ingredient belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of topicalantivarcotics, so it is used for:
- Local symptomatic relief of superficial venous disorders such as heaviness and tightness in legs with varicose veins in adults.
- Local symptomatic relief of superficial bruising caused by blows in adults and children over 1 year of age.

Thrombocid Forte is indicated for use inadults and children over 1 year of age.
Apply a thin layer of Thrombocid Forte ointment for varicose veins and bruises on the affected skin area, massaging gently to facilitate penetration. Wash hands after each application. This medicine can be reapplied 3 or 4 times a day.
Abandage is not usually necessary, although it can be covered with gauze or a compress if necessary.
Do not use Thrombocid Forte:
In children under 1 year of age.
In case of allergy or hypersensitivity to pentosan polysulphate sodium or to any of the components of this medicine.
If you suffer from significant coagulation disorders.
Do not apply to mucous membranes, ulcers and open or infected wounds.

Take special care with Thrombocid Forte, because:
It is for skin use only.
Itshould be used only on intact skin.
Contact with the eyes should be avoided.
In case of venous problems caused by blood clots (e.g. thromboembolism), it is recommended to apply the product gently and without massage.
Do not use for a prolonged period of time or on very large areas of the skin.
The active substance in Thrombocid Forte is pentosan polysulphate sodium . Specifically, each gram of ointment contains 5 mg of pentosan polysulphate sodium. The other excipients are:Ketostearylalcohol , ketomacrogol 1000, glycerol (E422), propylene glycol, decyl oleate , phenoxyethanol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), ethylparahydroxybenzoate (E214) and water.
Thrombocid Forte is an over-the-counteranti-inflammatory medicine. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after more than 5 days of treatment, discontinue use and consult a pharmacist.
