Medicated gel for local symptomatic relief of bruising and venous disorders.

It is a medicine formulated with sodium sulphate, an active ingredient with properties that promote blood flow. It is indicated for the relief of tightness and heaviness in the legs in the case of varicose veins (superficial venous disorders) and for the symptomatic relief of superficial haematomas.
It comes in a tube containing 60 g of gel.
Suitable for adults and children over 1 year of age, depending on the use of the medicine.
For venous disorders:
Adults and adolescents over 18 years of age: apply a thin layer of gel 2 to 3 times a day, massaging it in to encourage penetration. The duration of treatment is usually 2 weeks.
If it is for bruises:
Adults and children over 1 year: administer 1 thin layer of gel on the bruise up to 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is usually 10 days.
Do not use Hirudoid Forte Gel:
In children under 1 year of age.
If you are allergic or hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Do not use this medicine if you have blood clotting problems or on open or infected wounds, mucous membranes or ulcers.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Like all medicines, Hirudoid Forte Gel may cause side effects:
Common adverse reactions: local (non-systemic) reactions, irritation or itching at the site.
The active substance in Hirudoid Forte Gel is sodium chondroitin sulphate. Each gram of gel contains 4.45 milligrams of sodium chondroitin sulphate. The other ingredients are: isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, polyacrylic acid and purified water.
This medicine is packaged in a lacquered aluminium tube.
