The sachets have a pleasant orange flavour and should be dissolved in half a glass of water, shaking well before taking.

It is indicated, in adults, for the relief of symptoms related to mild venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, such as pain, heaviness, tightness, tingling and itching of the legs with varicose veins or swollen legs.

You should consult a doctor if it gets worse or does not improve after 2 weeks of treatment.

Adults over 18 years of age.

Composition

Composition of variliv 1000 mg tablets.

The active substance is diosmin (1,000 mg per tablet).

Excipients: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), gelatin, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A) (potato), talc and magnesium stearate.
Tablet coating: lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E-171), macrogol 4000, iron oxide yellow (E-172) and iron oxide red (E-172).

Directions for use

Adults
The recommended dose is 1 tablet per day, preferably in the morning. The tablets should be taken with water to facilitate swallowing and broken into two halves.

Variliv Diosmin is a medicine that increases the resistance of the capillaries as well as the tone of the veins. It is therefore recommended for use in cases of mild venous insufficiency, as it relieves itching, stinging and heaviness in the legs.
We recommend physical exercise to improve venous return, diet and adequate hydration every day.

Contraindications

Do not take Variliv Diosmin
If you are allergic to diosmin, to other flavonoids or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Children under 18 years of age.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

Side effects

Frequent : gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea and vomiting).
- Uncommon : colitis.
- Rare : nervous system disorders (dizziness, headache and malaise) and skin reactions (rash, itching and hives).
- Unknown frequency: abdominal pain, isolated oedema of the face, lips and eyelids (swelling). Rare Quincke's oedema (rapid swelling of tissues such as the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty in breathing).
