Daflon 500 is intended for adults seeking relief from symptoms related to venous insufficiency in swollen or varicose legs, such as pain, heaviness, itching or tightness.
In adults the recommended dose is 2 tablets a day , one at midday and one in the evening, during meals. Relief should normally be felt within the first 2 weeks of treatment.
Daflon 500 should not be taken by persons under 18 years of age or in case of allergy to any of the components included in this medicine.
It is also not recommended for use in pregnant or breast-feeding women, due to the lack of data on the use of this drug.

Daflon 500 consists of purified favonoica 500 mg as the main active substance. This active substance contains 450 mg diosmin and 50 mg hesperidin. The other excipients are: Gluten-free potato sodium carboxymethyl starch type A, Microcrystalline cellulose, Gelatin, Magnesium stearate, Talc, Sodium lauryl sulphate, Polyethylene glycol 6000, Salmon dry premix for coating*.
(*) The salmon dry premix consists of: Titanium dioxide (E 171), Glycerol, Hypromellose, Iron oxide yellow (E 172), Iron oxide red (E 172), Polyethylene glycol 6000 and Magnesium stearate.
Daflon tablets are a medicine with a micronised flavonoid fraction in the form of flavonoids and diosmin, oval, easy to take with water, indicated to relieve the symptoms of venous insufficiency causing heaviness and a feeling of tired legs and haemorrhoids with itching, stinging and inflammation.
Able to improve the patient's symptoms in a period of two weeks generally, due to its venotonic and vasoprotective action, it improves the resistance of the vessels (capillary fragility) and reduces permeability.
