Venotonic medicine used for the relief of symptoms related to haemorrhoids such as pain or swelling in the anal area in adults.

Hemoliv is a venotonic medicine: it increases the tone of the veins and the resistance of the capillaries, small blood vessels, indicated for the relief of symptoms related to haemorrhoids such as pain or swelling in the anal area in adults.
Suitable for use over 18 years of age.
The recommended dose is one tablet every 8 hours for the first four days and 2 tablets a day for the next 3 days. After this a dose of 1 tablet per day can be maintained. The tablets should be taken with water to facilitate swallowing.
- Frequent: gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting) - Infrequent: colitis.
- Rare: nervous system disorders (dizziness, headache, malaise) and skin reactions (rash, pruritus, urticaria).
- Unknown frequency: abdominal pain, isolated oedema of the face, lips and eyelids (swelling).
- Rare Quincke's oedema (rapid swelling of tissues such as the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty in breathing).
The active substance is diosmin. Each Hemoliv tablet contains 1,000 mg diosmin. The other excipients in the core are: microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), gelatin, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A) (potato), talc and magnesium stearate. Coating agents: Opadry OY-L-28900 white (lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 4000), iron oxide yellow (E-172) and iron oxide red (E-172).
Hemoliv is a medicine in the form of film-coated, biconvex, oblong, grooved tablets, easy to take with water, indicated for the relief of symptoms related to haemorrhoids.
