It is a medicine in sachet form that protects the blood vessels. This vasoprotective actionrelieves thesymptoms of mild venous insufficiency in the legs, such as pain, a feeling of heaviness and tightness, tingling and itching in swollen legs or legs with varicose veins.
It comes in a pack of 30 granulated sachets.
Suitable for use in adults over 18 years of age with mild venous insufficiency.
The recommended dose is 1 sachet per day, diluted in a little water.
Symptom relief usually occurs within the first 2 weeks of treatment. If after this time the symptoms do not improve or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
Do not take Variliv sachets:
In children under 18 years of age.
In case of allergy to troxerutin or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding are not recommended without consulting a doctor, as there is insufficient data on the use of this medicine in these circumstances.
Like all medicines, Variliv troxerutin may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Specifically, such side effects include:
Difficulty breathing or swallowing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and severe itching of the skin, with red rash, hives or bumps.
Dizziness, headache, fatigue, redness of the skin.
Gastrointestinal upset, flatulence, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, stomach upset, dyspepsia, rash, itching or hives.
The active substance in Variliv sachets is troxerutin. Each sachet contains 1000 mg troxerutin.
Excipients: mannitol (E-421), saccharin sodium (E-954) and orange flavouring (flavouring preparations, flavouring substances, natural flavouring substances, maize maltodextrin, gum arabic (E-414), ascorbic acid (E-300) and butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) (E-320)).
Variliv is a vasoprotective medicine that improves the symptoms of mild venous insufficiency. It comes in sachets that are very easy to take, which are diluted in water and administered in a single daily dose and have a pleasant orange flavour.
A healthy diet rich in fibre, plenty of water, specific physical exercise and routines that improve circulation and venous return are recommended.
