Diosmin is a venotonic medicine in tablet form that helps to increase the tone of the veins and the resistance of the venous capillaries. In this way, it relieves the typical symptoms of swollen legs or varicose veins (mild venous insufficiency), such as heaviness, pain, itching or tingling.
Intended for use by adults seeking relief from problems related to swollen legs or varicose veins.
Take 2 tablets a day with meals, one at midday and one in the evening. This treatment can be maintained for approximately 2-3 months.
Do not take Variliv Diosmin :
- In case of allergy to flavonoids or to any of the components included in this medicinal product.
- In children under 18 years of age.
Diosmin may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. Side effects can be:
- Common: indigestion, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting.
- Infrequent: colitis.
- Rare: malaise, dizziness, headache, rash, hives, itching.
- Unknown frequency: swelling of face, lips and eyelids; abdominal pain.
- Rare: Quincke's oedema may occur.
Each tablet contains 450 mg Diosmin and 50 mg Hesperidin as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), gelatin, potato sodium carboxymethyl starch, talc and magnesium stearate. The coating components of these tablets are: lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 4000, iron oxide yellow (E-172) and iron oxide red (E-172).
Variliv Diosmin is a medicine that increases the resistance of the capillaries as well as the tone of the veins. It is therefore recommended for use in cases of mild venous insufficiency, as it relieves itching, stinging and heaviness in the legs.
They come in biconvex tablets for easy ingestion, and it is advisable to take them after lunch and dinner, accompanied by water.
