It is a medicine in the form of sucking tablets containing benzydamine hydrochloride and cetylpyridinium chloride as active ingredients for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiseptic action.
Therefore, its use is indicated for the treatment of throat, mouth and gum irritations.
Adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
In adults, take 1 lozenge every 3 to 6 hours and no more than 5 a day.
In children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet every 8 hours.
Do not use Septolete Honey Lemon Flavour in children under 6 years of age.
This medicine should not be taken with milk as it decreases its effectiveness.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains Isomalt (special care in patients with intolerance to certain sugars), sodium (special care in hypertension) and sodium benzoate.
Like all medicines, Septolete may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: altered sense of taste.
Very frequent side effects: allergic reactions, swelling of the lips, tongue or face.
The active substance in Septolete Honey Lemon is: benzydamine hydrochloride and cetylperidinium chloride. Each lozenge contains 3 mg benzydamine hydrochloride and 1 mg cetylpyridinium chloride.
The other ingredients are: peppermint oil, levomenthol, sucralose (E955), citric acid (E330), isomalt (E953), lemon flavour, honey flavour, curcumin (E100) (contains sodium benzoate (E211)).
Septolete is a light yellow lozenge with a pleasant honey and lemon flavour. Take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in the shortest number of days.
Do not use this treatment for more than 3 days, unless recommended by a doctor.
