Tablets for the temporary relief of local symptoms of mild throat infections without fever.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a medicine that has a dual effect due to its components: antiseptic action due to chlorhexidine and anaesthetic action due to benzocaine.
It is indicated for infections or inflammations of the throat with pain and/or without fever.
Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Take 1 lozenge every 2 or 3 hours and no more than 8 a day.
Do not use Hibitane Menthol in children under 6 years of age is contraindicated, as children are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as in those over 65 years of age, which is also not indicated for use, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: a doctor should be consulted.
This medicine contains sodium (special care in hypertension).
Like all medicines, Hibitane menthol may cause side effects:
Frequent adverse reactions: irritation of the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions due to the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine.
Very frequent adverse reactions: Oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, discolouration of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is removed by cleaning) and altered taste may occur.
The active ingredients of Hibitane Menthol are: 5 mg chlorhexidine dichloride and 5 mg benzocaine.
The other ingredients are:mannitol (E-421), microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), povidone, magnesium stearate, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin (E-954) and menthol flavouring (contains modified corn starch, cinnamal, cinnamyl alcohol, citral, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene and linalool).
Hibitane is a menthol-flavoured lozenge.
Do not forget to take the minimum number of lozenges to relieve symptoms in as few days as possible.
Let the tablet dissolve slowly in your mouth, without chewing or swallowing.
