It is a lozenge-shaped tablet for sucking whose active ingredient is ambroxol, an active ingredient that has a local anaesthetic effect and is therefore indicated for acute sore throat pain.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 1 tablet to suck when you need to soothe a sore throat, dissolving little by little in the mouth without exceeding a maximum of 6 tablets a day.
Do not use Bucoxon mint flavour in children under 12 years of age, the use of this medicine is contraindicated.
Special care in pregnancy and lactation, this medicine passes to the foetus and is excreted in breast milk, so it is contraindicated.
This medicine contains isomalt, so you should consult your doctor if you have a certain intolerance to some sugars. It also contains sodium.
Like all medicines, Bucoxon mint flavour may cause side effects:
Frequent: abdominal pain, dry mouth, diarrhoea.
Very common: dizziness, numbness of the mouth, tongue and throat, altered taste.
One Bucoxon lozenge contains 20 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride as the active substance. The other ingredients are: isomalt (E-953), saccharin sodium (E-954), racemic menthol and peppermint essential oil.
These are lozenges with a pleasant mint flavour. It has a rapid onset of action of 20 minutes and its effect lasts for 3 hours.
Do not use this medicine for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
This tablet is for oropharyngeal use. It should be sucked slowly without chewing or swallowing as it has a local action and its effect is felt when it comes into contact with the affected area.
