It is a medicine in the form of mint and eucalyptus-flavoured lozenges with a triple action: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anaesthetic. All thanks to its formula with chlorhexidine, enoxolone and benzocaine, three active ingredients widely used to relieve sore throat infections or inflammation without fever.
Intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Dissolve a lozenge to suck slowly in the mouth, without swallowing or chewing, so that the active ingredients can act effectively in the area. Dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children aged 6 to 12 years: administer 1 tablet every 4 to 5 hours, without exceeding the maximum dose of 6 tablets a day.
Over 12 years of age: take 1 tablet every 2 or 3 hours, without exceeding the maximum amount of 8 tablets a day.
Do not use Angileptol eucalyptus:
In children under 6 years of age, as well as in those over 65.
In case of allergy to benzocaine or to any of the ingredients present in this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, except on medical advice.
In patients with diabetes.
Angileptol honey lemon flavour may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Frequent: allergic reactions due to the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine, irritation of the mouth or tip of the tongue.
Very frequent: oedema, hypertension, staining of the teeth (removed by cleaning) or altered taste.
Each honey and lemon flavoured Angileptol lozenge contains 5 mg chlorhexidine dichloride, 4 mg benzocaine 4 mg and 3 mg enoxolone as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are: sorbitol (E420), acesulfame potassium (E950), magnesium stearate, honey flavouring and lemon flavouring.
This medicine comes in the form of white lozenges with a pleasant sweet, citrus flavour. It is recommended to take the minimum amount of tablets that is effective in relieving symptoms, in as few days as possible.
