Tusclin Syrup is a herbal medicine in the form of a syrup for the relief of chesty coughs and is suitable for the whole family, both adults and children over 2 years of age.
It comes in a 100 ml bottle.
Suitable for use in adults and children over 2 years of age.
The recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient.
Children between 2 and 5 years: administer 2.5 ml every 12 hours.
Children between 6 and 12 years: take 2.5 ml every 6-12 hours as needed.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: take 5 ml every 8-12 hours as needed.
Do not use Tusclin Syrup in children under 2 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted due to lack of data.
This medicine contains sorbitol (it is a source of fructose, so special care should be taken in diabetic patients).
Like all medicines, Tusclin syrup may cause side effects:
Common adverse reactions: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, allergic reactions.
The active ingredient in Tusclin Syrup is dry ivy leaf extract. Specifically, 1 ml of syrup contains 7 mg of dry ivy leaf extract (Hedera helix L.) (4-8:1). Extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (m/m).
The other ingredients are: potassium sorbate, anhydrous citric acid, xanthan gum, non-crystallisable liquid sorbitol (E-420), cherry essence and purified water.
Tusclin syrup has an amber colour and a pleasant cherry flavour.
