This medicine contains sucrose (special care in patients with diabetes) and sodium (special care in people with hypertension).

The active substance of Emanera is esomeprazole. Each hard gastro-resistant capsule contains 20 mg of esomeprazole (as esomeprazole magnesium dihydrate). The other excipients are: sugar spheres (sucrose and maize starch), povidone K30, sodium lauryl sulphate, polyvinyl alcohol , dióxide (E171), macrogol 6000, macrogol 3000, talc (E553b), magnesium heavy carbonate , polysorbate 80 (E433) and methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylatecopolymer (1:1) 30% dispersion in the capsule core, and gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171) and iron oxide red (E172) in the capsule cap.
Emanera comes in light pink capsules, which should be taken with water, preferably before breakfast.
