Tablets for the local treatment of symptoms of mild infections of the mouth and throat.

It is an antiseptic medicine for oropharyngeal use in the form of sucking tablets used for the relief and treatment of temporary and mild symptoms of infections of the mouth and throat.
Intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
Children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet to suck every 4 to 5 hours dissolving little by little in the mouth without exceeding 6 tablets a day.
Adults: 1 tablet every 2-3 hours without exceeding 8 tablets a day.
Do not use Deratin in children under 6 years of age.
Special care in pregnancy and breast-feeding.
This medicine contains sorbitol and sodium, so you should consult your doctor if you have certain intolerances to some sugars (sorbitol), as well as if your doctor has advised you to follow a low-salt (sodium) diet.
Like all medicines, Deratin lozenges may cause side effects:
Frequent: irritation of the tongue and/or mouth and allergic reactions such as skin rash or redness.
Very frequent: altered sense of taste, yellowing of the teeth due to chlorhexidine,
Each tablet of Deratin contains 5 mg of chlorhexidine dihydrochloride. The other ingredients are: sorbitol (E-420), polyvidone, saccharin sodium (E-954), magnesium stearate and peppermint essence.
These mint-flavoured lozenges are intended for oropharyngeal use only, so they should be sucked slowly without chewing or swallowing, as they have a local action that manifests itself when they come into contact with the affected area.
Do not use this medicine for more than 5 days without consulting your doctor.
