Cinfatos Expectorant Syrup 200 ml

It is a medicated syrup designed to relieve coughs and reduce phlegm and bronchial secretions that accompany productive coughs in colds and flus.

It comes in a convenient 200 ml bottle.

Suitable for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.

The recommended daily dose varies according to the age of the patient:

• 12 years and over: 5 ml or 10 ml, every 4-6 hours as needed.

• Children 6-12 years: 2.5 ml or 5 ml every 4-6 hours according to need.

Do not use Cinfatos Expectorant Syrup:

• In children under 6 years of age.

• If you suffer from allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients of this medicine.

• If you suffer from atopic dermatitis, due to the release of histamine associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.

• In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, high blood pressure, liver disease or diabetes.

• In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.

• In parallel with other cough suppressant medicines.

• If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.

• In patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency who are not under medical supervision.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, without prior medical consultation. Do not take during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Cinfatos Expectorant may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, the following common side effects have been observed: drowsiness, dizziness, vertigo, headaches, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, constipation, urticaria.

Each ml of Cinfatos Expectorant contains 2.0 mg Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide and 20 mg Guaifenesin as the main active ingredients. The other excipients are: Povidone, Sorbitol liquid non-crystallisable (E-420), Sodium benzoate (E-211), Saccharin sodium, Citric acid monohydrate, Orange flavouring, Purified water.

Use the measuring cup supplied with this medicine for correct administration, and wash down after each use. Drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to facilitate its action.

Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.

It is recommended to drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate the mucous membranes and fluidify the mucus, thus facilitating its outflow.

Once opened, the product remains stable for a maximum of 4 weeks. After this time, discard.

See a doctor if there is no improvement within 5 days or if symptoms worsen during this time.
