Cinfatos 2 Mg/ ml Oral Solution 1 Bottle 125 ml

It is a syrup indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of dry or unproductive (irritative, nervous) cough.

It comes in a convenient 125 ml bottle.

Intended for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.

The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:

• From 12 years of age: 5 or 10 ml each, according to need, every 4 hours.

• Children 6-11 years: 2.5 or 5 ml, as needed, every 4 hours.

Do not use Cinfatos Dry Cough:

• In children under 6 years of age.

• In patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the components present in the composition of this medicinal product.

• In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, arterial hypertension, liver diseases.

• If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.

• In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.

• In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.

• During pregnancy or breast-feeding, without prior consultation with a specialist doctor.

Cinfatos 2 mg Dry Cough may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, the following common side effects have been observed: drowsiness and dizziness.

Each ml of Cinfatos 2 mg Oral Solution contains 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Non-crystallisable liquid sorbitol (E-420), Sodium benzoate (E-211), Sodium saccharin (E-954), Citric acid monohydrate, Orange flavouring, Ethanol, Purified water.

Use the measuring cup supplied with the medicine for correct administration. Wash down after each dose and drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to facilitate the action of this medicine.

Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.

In order to hydrate the mucous membranes, it is important to drink plenty of water for the duration of the treatment.
