It is a medicine in the form of effervescent tablets containing acetylcysteine, an active ingredient that helps thin thick mucus and facilitate its expulsion, which is why it is widely used both for colds and flu.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Dissolve one tablet in a glass of water and wait until completely dissolved before swallowing. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 1 per day.
Do not use Cinfamucol tablets:
In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients listed in the composition of this medicinal product.
In parallel with other cough suppressant medicines.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Caution with antibiotics such as amphotericin B, ampicillin sodium, cephalosporins, erythromycin lactobionate or some tetracyclines. They may be incompatible or inactivated. It is recommended to separate intakes by at least 2 hours.
Medical supervision in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, bronchospasm, respiratory failure, anaemia, gastroduodenal ulcer.
Consult your doctor in patients under treatment with nitroglycerin.
Cinfamucol tablets may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that all people will experience side effects. In particular, frequent adverse reactions of a gastrointestinal nature have been observed.
Each tablet of Cinfamucol Acetylcysteine contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine as the main active ingredient. The other excipients are: anhydrous citric acid, maltodextrin (from maize starch), sodium hydrogencarbonate, saccharin sodium (E-954, E-954), sodium hydrogencarbonate, sodium saccharin (E-954, E-954).(flavouring preparations, flavouring substances, natural flavouring substances, maize maltodextrin, gum arabic (E-414), ascorbic acid (E-300), butylated hydroxyanisole BHA E-320), leucine.
For correct administration of the medicine, place the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and swallow once dissolved.
It is best taken in the morning, and drink plenty of water during treatment to hydrate mucous membranes and thin mucus to make it easier to pass.
Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
