Almagato Stadapharm Gel sachets 1.5 g, 12 sachets

It is an antacid medicine that neutralises excess acidity in the stomach. It therefore treats and relieves the symptoms of heartburn and acidity.

It is aimed at adults and those over 12 years of age who have problems with heartburn.

The oral suspension can be taken directly from the sachet, or by pouring the contents into half a glass of water, stirring and then drinking.

Three sachets a day are recommended, if possible, between 30 minutes and one hour after meals. Another sachet can be taken if another dose is needed, but not more than 5 sachets a day.

Do not use Almagato Stadapharm:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• In case of allergy to almagate or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

• If you suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

• In case of undiagnosed bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, haemorrhoids, fluid retention (oedema), liver complications during pregnancy (toxaemia gravidarum) or diarrhoea.

Almagate Stadapharm can cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines. In this case, due to the poor intestinal absorption of almagate, side effects are very rare. In any case, diarrhoea may occur, which should subside after discontinuation of treatment.

Each sachet of Almagate Stadapharm contains 1.5 grams of almagate. The other excipients are microcrystalline cellulose (E-460), carmellose sodium, saccharin sodium, chlorhexidine diacetate, peppermint essence, sorbitol (E-420) 70 %, simethicone and purified water.

If you are taking another medicine, separate the intake for at least 3 hours from the other medicines. If you are not taking them, wait 30 minutes to one hour after meals to take it.
