Actromadol 660 mg, 8 Tablets

Actromadol is a medicine containing naproxen sodium, an active substance with non-steroidalanti-inflammatory action (NSAIDs) used for the treatment of pain and/or fever in adults.

It comes in a pack of 8 modified-release tablets.

Actromadol is indicated for adults between 18 and 65 years of age. The recommended dose is 1 tablet of 660 mg naproxen sodium every 24 hours.

Take 1tablet daily. Do not exceed this daily dose.

Contraindication s

Do not use Actromadol:

• If you are allergic to naproxen sodium or to any of the ingredients.
• If you suffer from blood clotting disorders or bleeding.
• If you have suffered from bronchospasm, asthma, urticaria after taking other NSAIDs,acetylsalicylic acid or similar.
• If you have or have had stomach or oesophageal ulcers, if you have severe liver, kidney or heart disease or if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

• Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding: you should consult your doctor.
• The use of naproxen in patients who regularly consume alcohol may cause stomach bleeding.
• Actromadol contains lactose (special care should be taken in intolerant and allergic patients).

Side effects

Like all medicines, Actromadol may cause side effects. In this case, the following common side effects have been observed: nausea, vomiting, constipation, digestive problems, blood in stools, blood in vomit, high blood pressure, tiredness and headache.

The active substance in Actromadol isnaproxen sodium. Each modified-release tablet contains 660 mg naproxen sodium (equivalent to 600 mg naproxen and 60 mg sodium). The other excipients are: microcrystallinecellulose , povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, hypromellose 2208, lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, hypromellose 2910, titanium dioxide, aluminium lacquer (E132) and carnauba wax.

Actromadol is an ideal medicine for eliminating generalised pain. It comes in the form of blue oval tablets.

Remember not to take more than 1 tablet a day. If after 3 days of treatment the symptoms or fever have not disappeared, you should see a doctor.
