Flectormed is a medicated dressing with anti-inflammatory action used for the short-term, local relief of mild pain affecting joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 16 years of age.
Apply the adhesive dressing to the painful or inflamed skin area once a day, for a maximum period of one week.
Only apply to intact, undamaged skin. The adhesive dressing should not be used during bathing or showering.
The adhesive dressing should be used in its entirety, for the shortest possible period of time, according to the instructions for use.
Do not use Flectormed:
In children under 16 years of age.
In case of allergy to diclofenac epolamine or excipients.
On open wounds or lesions.
In case of allergy to pain medication or NSAIDs.
In patients with asthma, breathing problems, skin rash or runny nose after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
If you are going to use this medicine simultaneously with another medicine formulated with diclofenac or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
After the 6th month of pregnancy, unless prescribed by a doctor.
In the breast if you are breast-feeding.
Side effects
Flectormed may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that all patients will experience side effects. In this case, most side effects are related to the site of application:
Frequent: skin reactions: rash, dermatitis, redness and inflammation of the skin, pruritus.
Infrequent, rare and very rare: rash with blistering or blistering, dry skin, allergic reaction also after exposure of the skin to sunlight or sunbathing (photosensitivity), urticaria.
Each adhesive dressing contains a total of 180 mg diclofenac epolamine as the active substance, equivalent to 140 mg diclofenac sodium. The other excipients are: gelatin, povidone (K90), heparin sodium, sorbitol liquid, kaolin, titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), disodium edetate (E385, E385), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), disodium edetate (E385), andedetate disodium (E385), tartaric acid, aluminium glycinate, carmellose sodium, silicon polyacrylate, 1,3-butyl ether, 1,3-butyl ether, 1,3-butyl ether1,3-butylene glycol, polysorbate 80, fragrance (propylene glycol, benzyl salicylate, phenylethyl alcohol, alpha-amylcinnamyl aldehyde, hydroxycitronellaldehyde, alpha-acrylic aldehyde, alpha-amylcinnamyl alcohol).mico aldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, phenylethyl phenylacetate, cinnamyl acetate, benzyl acetate, terpineol, cinnamyl alcohol, cyclamen aldehyde), purified water and polyester non-woven carrier.
The use of diclofenac may impair fertility in women and is therefore not recommended if you are considering having a child. In particular, diclofenac should be avoided in women who are having difficulty conceiving or are undergoing infertility treatment.
Always use the lowest effective dose of diclofenac for the shortest time necessary.
After removal of the patch, in order to reduce the risk of photosensitivity, do not expose to direct sunlight for at least one day.
