Voltadol dressings are a pain-relieving medicine, belonging to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), for pain associated with acute strains, sprains or bruises on the arms and legs as a result of blunt injuries in adolescents from 16 years of age and adults. It contains 10 dressings, each containing 140 mg of diclofenac, making it a practical and effective option for the treatment of pain.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 16 years of age.
The recommended dose is one medicated adhesive dressing once a day.
The instructions for use are as follows:
1. Cut the sachet along the dotted line and remove the medicated adhesive dressing, remove one of the two protective films, apply the dressing to the area to be treated and remove the remaining protective film, apply light pressure with the palm of the hand until complete adhesion to the skin is achieved.
To remove the dressing:
1. Moisten the dressing with water, peel off one edge of the dressing and gently pull it away from the skin.
2. To remove any product residue, wash the affected area with water by gently rubbing the area with your fingers in a circular motion.
The active substance in Voltadol patches is diclofenac sodium. Each medicated adhesive dressing contains diclofenac in the form of 140 mg diclofenac sodium. Outer layer: Polyester non-woven material. Adhesive layer: Polyacrylate dispersion, tributyl citrate and butylated hydroxyanisole. Protective coating: Silicone monolayer coated paper.
Do not use Voltadol patches:
Voltadol dressings may cause side effects, as with all medicines on the market. In this case, the following have been observed:
If you have injured, hit or bruised an area of the body such as the limbs, ankles or any other part and you feel a sharp pain, use Voltadol medicated sticky patches once a day for a period not exceeding 1 week.
If your symptoms do not improve or worsen after this time, see your doctor for a clinical assessment.
