Tablets with paracetamol for the symptomatic treatment of occasional mild to moderate pain and fever.
Contains 20 tablets.
It is a medicine formulated with 650 mg of Paracetamol for the treatment of symptoms involving pain, as well as to reduce fever thanks to its antipyretic action.
It is indicated for adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
In adults and over 15 years of age, take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours, without exceeding 3 g/day of paracetamol.
In paediatric patients, proceed as follows:
22 - 26 kg (6 - 10 years ), ½ tablet every 4-6 hours, maximum 2 tablets per day.
26 - 40 kg (8 - 13 years), ½ tablet every 4-6 hours, maximum 3 tablets per day.
41 - 50 kg (12 - 15 years), 1 tablet every 6 hours, maximum 4 tablets per day.
For sore throat, not to be taken for more than 2 days, without adequate clinical evaluation.
In patients with impaired renal function, the dose should be adjusted as follows.
Glomerular filtration 10-50 ml/min, the dose should be 500 mg every 6 hours.
Glomerular filtration rate less than 10 ml/min, the dose should be 500 mg every 8 h.
It is not recommended that the dose exceeds 60 mg/kg/day of paracetamol.
In patients with hepatic insufficiency, the dose should not exceed 2 g/day, with an interval of 8 hours between doses.
Do not use Paracetamol 650 mg Teva if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the excipients, in hepatocellular disorders, or phenylketonuria.
Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal failure, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, among others.
No problems have been reported in pregnant women, although a doctor should always be consulted before use.
No problems have been reported in breast-feeding, although a doctor should always be consulted before use, as maximum concentrations of 10-15 microlitres/ml have been found in milk 2 hours after ingestion.
A doctor should be consulted if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, oral anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, loop diuretics, methotrexate, methotrexate, methotrexate, methotrexate and other drugs.The doctor should also be consulted if you are taking loop diuretics, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or of paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or shielding the effect relatively.
Paracetamol 650 mg Teva may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed
Hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria, anaphylactic shock), general malaise, agranulocytosis, hypoglycaemia, increased transaminases, hepatotoxicity, cloudy urine, among others.
Increase in hepatic transaminases.
Hypotension.
Each tablet contains 650 mg of paracetamol, which is the active substance of the medicinal product. Other excipients: potato starch glycolate type A, povidone, stearic acid, crospovidone, magnesium stearate of vegetable origin and microcrystalline cellulose.
If you have pain due to a blow, illness, contracture, menstrual pain, headache or fever, take 1 tablet of this medicine every 4-6 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms.
Remember not to exceed the maximum dose of 60 mg/kg/day, divided into several doses per day.
If after 5 days of treatment the pain does not improve or new or worsening symptoms appear, stop treatment and see your doctor for a clinical assessment and appropriate adjustment of the treatment. The same procedure should be followed if feverish symptoms last longer than 3 days.
