Indicated in febrile states and for the relief of mild to moderate pain.

Apiretal is a medicine in the form of orodispersible tablets for use in febrile processes and processes involving pain.
Children from 14 kg and adults.
The Apiretal 250 mg tablet should be broken in the mouth before swallowing.
The recommended dose is 15 mg/kg every 6 hours or 10 mg/kg every 4 hours.
Specifically, the dose should be divided according to kg of weight, as follows:
14 to 19 kg. 1 tablet every 6 hours.
20 to 26 kg. 1 tablet every 4 hours.
27 to 39 kg. 2 tablets every 6 hours.
40 kg and over. 2 tablets every 4 hours.
The dose should be reduced by 25 % in case of renal insufficiency.
In alcoholics, special care should be taken, always the maximum possible dose 2 g/day.
It should not be administered if you are hypersensitive to paracetamol or any of the excipients, in hepatocellular disorders, or phenylketonuria.
Special care should be taken in patients with chronic alcoholism, renal failure, heart failure, pulmonary disorders and anaemia, among others.
No problems have been reported in pregnant women, although a doctor should always be consulted before use.
No problems have been reported in breast-feeding, although a doctor should always be consulted before use, as maximum concentrations of 10-15 microlitres/ml in milk 2 hours after ingestion have been found.
A doctor should be consulted if you are taking medicines such as chloramphenicol, propranolol, probenecid, metoclopramide, domperidone, rifampicin, lamotrigine, isoniazid, among others, as the plasma levels of these or paracetamol may be affected, increasing or decreasing, causing toxicity or shielding the effect relatively.
Apiretal 250 mg may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed
Hypersensitivity reactions ( urticaria, anaphylactic shock), general malaise, agranulocytosis, thromobocytopenia, hypoglycaemia, increased transaminases, hepatotoxicity, cloudy urine, among others.
Each tablet of Apiretal contains 250 mg of paracetamol and 12 mg of aspartame. The other excipients are: grape essence, talc, microcrystalline cellulose and crospovidone.
In case of fever or pain, take 1 or 2 tablets of Apiretal as indicated in the table above.
In children the dose of 80 mg/kg per day should not be exceeded, and in adults the dose of 3 g per day should not be exceeded.
If fever persists for more than 2 or 3 consecutive days, treatment should be discontinued.
If pain persists for more than 5 days, treatment should be discontinued. In both cases, medical intervention and re-evaluation for treatment adjustment is required.
