Cinfatos 2 mg/ ml Oral Solution Syrup 200 ml

It is a medicated syrup formulated with Dextromethorphan, an active ingredient that is very useful in the treatment of dry or unproductive (irritative, nervous) coughs.

It comes in a practical 200 ml format.

Suitable for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.

The recommended daily dose varies according to the age range of the patient:

• From 12 years of age: 5-10 ml every 4 hours, according to need.

• Children 6-11 years: 2.5-5 ml every 4 hours, according to need.

Do not use Cinfatos Dry Cough:

• In children under 6 years of age.

• In patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the components present in the composition of this medicinal product.

• If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.

• In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory insufficiency, arterial hypertension, hepatic diseases.

• In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.

• In patients with atopic dermatitis, due to histamine release associated with the administration of dextromethorphan.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, without first consulting a specialist doctor.

Cinfatos 2 mg Dry Cough may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In particular, drowsiness and dizziness have been observed as adverse reactions that may occur frequently.

Each ml of Cinfatos 2 mg Oral Solution contains 2 mg Dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the main active substance. The other excipients are: Sorbitol liquid non-crystallisable (E-420), Sodium benzoate (E-211), Sodium saccharin (E-954), Citric acid monohydrate, Orange flavouring, Ethanol, Purified water.

For proper administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup provided and wash out after each use. It is advisable to drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to hydrate the mucous membranes and facilitate the action of this medicine.

Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.

It is important to drink plenty of water for the duration of the treatment.
