Hard capsules for the treatment and prevention of diarrhoea.

It is a medicine that contains a probiotic yeast called Saccharomyces boulardii as its active ingredient, so it is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhoea of non-specific origin and prevention of diarrhoea caused by the administration of antibiotics.
A doctor should be consulted if it worsens or does not improve after 2 days of treatment.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Take 5 to 10 capsules a day (250 to 500 mg), divided into two doses (morning and evening), preferably before meals and with a little water.
Always use the lowest effective dose.
Do not take Ultra Levura:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of Ultra Levura,
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to yeasts.
Patients with a central venous catheter (immunocompromised or hospitalised patients due to severe illness or impairment/weakening of the immune system).
Like all medicines, Ultra Levura may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them. In this case, the most common side effect, although rare, is flatulence. Other effects include: constipation, itching, reddening of the skin, sepsis, fungaemia.
The active ingredient in Ultra Levura 50 mg is a probiotic yeast. Specifically, each capsule contains 50 mg of Saccharomyces boulardii. The other excipients are lactose, magnesium stearate and sucrose.
During treatment with Ultra Levura, do not drink very hot (above 50°C), iced or alcohol-containing food or drink, as Saccharomyces boulardii contains live cells.
