Do not use Aurovitas Loperamide:
As with all medicines, Aurovitas loperamide may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Among them, the following have been observed:

If you suffer from AIDS and your stomach becomes inflamed. Stop taking the capsules immediately and contact your doctor.
If you have liver disease, consult your doctor before taking this medicine, as central nervous system toxicity may occur.
If you have severe diarrhoea, your body will lose more fluids, sugars and salts than usual, you will need to replace the fluids by drinking more than usual.
If you develop intestinal obstruction, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
Treatment with this medicine is only symptomatic, so diarrhoea should be treated based on its cause.
If you are taking any narcotic painkillers, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine, as it may interact with them.
The active substance in this Aurovitas medicine is loperamide hydrochloride. Each hard capsule contains 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride. The other excipients are: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, talc, magnesium stearate. Capsule shell:titanium dioxide (E171), gelatine. Black ink:shellac shellac, iron oxide black (E172).
Please note that this medicine only relieves the symptoms of diarrhoea, so it is important to drink plenty of fluids to replace the water lost during the diarrhoeal process.
Treatment should be stopped promptly and your doctor should be consulted if constipation, bloating or ileus (absence of bowel movements) occurs.
