Side effects

Like all medicines, Paidolax may cause side effects, but this does not mean that all patients will suffer from them. In this case, the following have been observed: urticaria, abdominal pain, anorectal discomfort, diarrhoeal stools.

Composition

The active ingredient of Paidolax is glycerol. Each application contains 4 g glycerol. The other excipient is purified water.

Your pharmacist's opinion

The cannula should be administered 5-15 minutes before the time chosen for the bowel movement.

It is very simple to use: once the cap that closes the end of the cannula has been removed, place the cannula in a vertical position with the tip facing upwards and press lightly so that a few drops of medicine moisten the end of the cannula, thus facilitating its insertion into the rectum. Once the nozzle is inserted into the rectum, squeeze the applicator to empty it and gently remove it while holding it down.

Hold the evacuation for as long as possible to allow the medicine to fully exert its action.

If symptoms persist for 7 days or if the patient's condition worsens, seek medical advice.

Avoid chronic use. In cases of chronic constipation of non-organic origin, improvement can be achieved by following these guidelines: eating a diet rich in fibre, drinking adequate amounts of water, physical exercise and regulating bowel habits.
