Oral drops with laxative action for the relief of symptoms of occasional constipation.
Contains 30 ml.
It is a medicine with a laxative action that directly stimulates the nerve endings of the intestinal wall, increasing its motility. It is therefore indicated for the occasional relief of occasional constipation.
Suitable for adults and children over 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
From 12 years of age: take 5 to 10 drops in a single dose, preferably before going to bed to produce the effect in the morning.
Children from 6 to 11 years of age: take 2 to 5 drops a day in a single dose, preferably in the evening before going to bed. If defecation does not occur, another 2 drops may be given in the morning.
Do not use Evacuol Drops:
In children under 6 years of age.
If you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
If you suffer from intestinal obstruction, paralytic ileus, appendicitis or intestinal perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding or inflammatory bowel disease.
As with all medicines, Evacuol Oral Drops may cause side effects:
Frequent: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and discomfort.
Very common: vomiting, nausea, dizziness.
The active substance in Evacuol is sodium picosulphate. Each millilitre (approximately 15 drops) contains 7.5 mg sodium picosulphate. The other ingredients are: 70% sorbitol solution, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-218), purified water.
This medicinal product is in the form of oral drops in a clear, colourless, odourless solution.
It should be taken orally, either on its own or dissolved in a drink such as juice, water or milk and administered in the evening so that defecation occurs the following morning. If defaecation does not occur within 12 hours of taking this medicine or if symptoms persist after 6 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor.
