Laxative for the symptomatic relief of occasional constipation in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Contains 10 sachets.
It is a medicine with a laxative action formulated with liquid paraffin and sodium picosulphate, two active ingredients that act on the stool, softening it to make it easier to pass.
Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age who need to relieve the symptoms of occasional constipation.
Take 1 sachet per day diluted in a glass of liquid, preferably at night before going to bed. If necessary, the dose can be repeated in the morning, approximately 2 hours before or after breakfast.
Do not exceed the maximum dose of 2 sachets per day.
Do not use Emuliquen Laxative:
- In children under 12 years of age.
- In case of allergy to the active ingredients of this medicine.
- If you suffer from appendicitis or suspect it.
- If you suffer from gastrointestinal perforation, abdominal pain of unknown origin, paralytic ileus, intestinal obstruction or bleeding, diarrhoea, dysphagia, rectal bleeding, severe dehydration, intestinal spasms or inflammatory bowel disease.
- If you have recently had a colonostomy and ileostomy.
- For prolonged periods, as dependence may occur.
Emuliquen laxative may cause side effects, as with all medicines, but this does not mean that everybody suffers from them. In this case, the following have been observed:
- Frequent: increased loss of water, potassium and other electrolytes.
- Very rare: allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, cramps, cramps, colic, dehydration, increased constipation, deficiency of vitamins A, B, C, E, D and E.Deficiency of vitamins A, D, E and K, lipoid pneumonia, loss of liquid paraffin by the anal route, watery stools, abdominal pain, lipogranuloma.
The active ingredients of Emuliquen laxative are liquid paraffin and sodium picosulphate. Specifically, each 15 ml sachet contains 7,173.9 mg of liquid paraffin and 4.5 mg of sodium picosulphate. The other excipients are: lichen extract, glycerol (E-422), gum arabic, vanillin, benzoic acid (E-210) and purified water.
Emuliquen laxative is a medicine formulated with paraffin that helps to lubricate and soften the faecal bolus, aiding evacuation in cases of occasional constipation.
It comes in single-dose sachets, making it easy to take with you. The contents of the sachet are taken orally, mixed with water or juice, preferably before bedtime. It is important to drink plenty of water during the day to stay hydrated and increase the effectiveness of the medicine.
