Bekunis Instant Senna Extract 17.6 g

It is a herbal laxative-stimulant medicine made from plants for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation.

Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Take 1 to 3 scoops of Bekunis Instant once a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives, i.e. 3 scoops (975 mg of the drug) of Bekunis Instant .

Pour 1 to 3 scoops of Bekunis Instant into a glass of cold or lukewarm water, stir and drink in small sips. It can be sweetened with a little honey or lemon juice. It is advisable to take it just before going to bed.

The dosage should be adjusted individually according to need.

In general, it is sufficient to take the medicine 2 or 3 times to obtain the desired effect.

Do not use Bekunis Instant:

• In children under 12 years of age.

• If you are allergic to senna or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

• If you suffer from abdominal pain of unknown origin.

• If you suffer from ileus, appendicitis, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases such as e.g. Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis; in case of abdominal pain of unknown cause, as well as in cases of severe dehydration with loss of water and salt.

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Like all medicines, Bekunis Instant may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them.

• Occasionally, stomach pain and spasms, bloating, nausea, nausea, mucous stools and/or diarrhoea, skin rashes, allergic reactions may occur.

• A yellow-red-brown discolouration of the urine may occur, although this is of no clinical significance. All these symptoms disappear when treatment is discontinued.

The active ingredient in Bekunis Instant is senna extract. 325 mg of Bekunis Instant (1 measuring scoop) contains 100-166.5 mg ofsenna extract, containing 10 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives expressed as sennoside B. The other ingredients are: gelatine and maltodextrin.

Treatment of constipation should be accompanied by a diet rich in vegetable fibre and plenty of water and regular exercise.

The medicine usually takes 8 to 12 hours to produce its laxative action, so it is recommended that you take it only once in the evening so that the effect takes place in the morning.
