It is recommended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Bilastine is an oral medicine. It is best taken either 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating or drinking.
For adults, elderly patients and adolescents over 12 years of age, the recommended dosage is 1 tablet per day.
If you are allergic to bilastine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you experience allergic reactions whose symptoms may include difficulty breathing, dizziness, collapse or loss of consciousness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and/or swelling and redness of the skin, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting to use Bilastina Alterpharma if you have moderate or severe kidney failure and you are also taking other medicines.
In case you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, syncope, you should seek emergency assistance due to risk of anaphylaxis.
Do not administer this medicinal product to children under 12 years of age.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may need to take any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
In particular, please tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
Ketoconazole (a fungal medicine).
Erythromycin (an antibiotic)
Diltiazem (to treat angina pectoris)
Cyclosporine (to reduce the activity of your immune system, to prevent transplant rejection or to reduce the activity of autoimmune diseases and allergic disorders, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis or rheumatoid arthritis)
Ritonavir (to treat AIDS)
Rifampicin (an antibiotic).
The active substance is bilastine. Each tablet contains 20 mg bilastine.
The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch type A (potato derivative), anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, and magnesium stearate.
If it does not improve or worsens within 7 days, it is advisable to seek medical advice.
It is an antihistamine which does not usually affect driving performance. In other words, it may cause drowsiness in 1 in 10 patients. However, it is preferable to analyse each case and see to what extent taking this medicine would affect driving or operating machinery.
