Anti-allergy medicine from Teva Group in tablet form with 10 mg of ebastine.

It isan anti-allergic medicine formulated with 10 mg of ebastine, an active substance that belongs to the group of so-called antihistamines. It is therefore used to relieve nasal symptoms (sneezing, nasal itching, runny nose, nasal congestion) and eye symptoms (red, watery eyes) associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
It comes in a pack of 20 tablets.
Suitable for use inadults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
The recommended dose is 10 mg of ebastine once a day, with or without food and with a glass of water . Some patients may require a dose of 1 tablet of 20 mg once daily. However, in patients with severe liver disease, the dose of 10 mg of ebastine per day should not be exceeded.

Do not use Ebastine 10 mg Teva Group:
In children under 12 years of age.
Incase of allergy to ebastine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
In caseyour electrocardiogram results are altered (prolongation of the QT interval).
If youhave high blood potassium levels.
In patients with severe liver disease without first consulting your doctor.
In patients being treated with a class of medicines used to treat fungal infections called azole antifungals or with medicines used to treat certain infections called macrolide antibiotics.
In case of treatment with rifampicin, a type of medicine used to treat tuberculosis.
In patients with an acute allergic emergency, as it takes about 1 to 3 hours forebastine (the active substance in this medicine) to take effect.
Likeall medicines, Teva Ebastine 10 mg may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In this case, the following have been observed:
Each Teva Ebastine tablet contains 10 mg of ebastine. The other ingredients (excipients) are: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, povidone 30, polysorbate 80, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171) and glyceroltriacetate.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Take the missed dose when you remember and then continue with the usual schedule. However,if it is a few hours before the next dose, do not take the missed dose and wait to take the next dose at the time you are supposed to take it.
