It is an antihistamine medicine indicated to relieve the symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, itching, runny or stuffy nose and itchy, red, watery eyes.
It comes in a pack of 7 tablets.
Suitable for use in adults and those over 12 years of age.
The recommended dose is 1 tablet (120 mg) per day. It is recommended to be taken with a little water before a meal.
The effect of the medicine starts after 1 hour and lasts for 24 hours.
Do not use Telfast:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding is not recommended without consulting your doctor, as there is insufficient data on the use of this medicine in these circumstances.
You should consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have problems with your liver or kidneys or if you have or have had cardiovascular disease, as this medicine may cause a fast or irregular heartbeat.
Telfast may cause side effects, as with all medicines. Specifically, the following have been observed:
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing, because these may be symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.
Headache, drowsiness, feeling sick (nausea), dizziness.
Difficulty sleeping (insomnia), dizziness ... skin itching, hives.
Severe allergic reactions that may cause swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, flushing, tightness in the chest, and difficulty breathing.
Each film-coated tablet contains 120 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride.
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, povidone, titanium dioxide (E171), colloidal anhydrous silica, macrogol and iron oxide red (E 172) and iron oxide yellow (E172).
Telfast is a medicine with antihistamine action thanks to its formula containing fexofenadine.
