Almagate Stadapharm 500 mg, 24 chewable tablets

It is a medicine that belongs to the group of antacids thanks to its formula containing almagate, which neutralises excess acidity in the stomach. In this way, it treats and relieves the symptoms caused by acidity and heartburn.

It comes in a pack with 24 tablets inside.

Intended for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Take 2 tablets three times a day, chewed or dissolved in the mouth. If possible, they should be taken half an hour to one hour after meals. If you need to take another dose before going to sleep, do not exceed the maximum amount of 8 grams of almagate per day.

Do not use Almagate Stadapharm:

• If you are allergic to almagate or to any of the excipients of this medicine.

• If you suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

• If you have undiagnosed bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, haemorrhoids, fluid retention (oedema), a complication of the liver during pregnancy (toxaemia gravidarum) or diarrhoea.

Almagate Stadapharm can cause side effects, as with all other medicines. In this case, the low absorption of this active substance in the intestine means that such effects are very rare. In any case, diarrhoea may occur, which should subside after discontinuation of treatment.

Each tablet of Almagate Stadapharm contains 500 mg of almagate as the main active substance. The other ingredients are: mannitol (E-421), povidone (E-1201), potato starch, saccharin sodium, ammonium glycyrrhizate, magnesium stearate and peppermint essence.

This medicine comes in the form of white, mint-flavoured, chewable tablets, which should be chewed or dissolved in the mouth, but not swallowed directly.

However, you should wait between 30 minutes and one hour after a meal before taking it.
