Agiolax granules are a short-term treatment for occasional constipation.
Contains 250 g.
It is a laxative that acts as an intestinal regulator, increasing the volume of faeces and facilitating their evacuation. It is therefore indicated for the relief of the symptoms of transient constipation.
Suitable for use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
It is administered orally, taken with plenty of liquid.
Take 1 teaspoonful twice a day. Two dessert spoonfuls can be taken in the same dose if the symptoms require it.
Do not use Agiolax granulated:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you suffer from inflammatory diseases of the colon, abdominal obstruction, paralytic ileus or difficulty in defecating after using a laxative.
If you suffer from abdominal pain without knowing the cause.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
This medicine contains sucrose (special care in diabetes).
Like all medicines, Agiolax granulated may cause side effects:
Common adverse reactions: gas (at the beginning of treatment), abdominal pain and spasms, reddish-brownish colour of urine, allergies, abdominal or oesophageal obstruction (if swallowed with little liquid).
The active ingredients in Agiolax are: Plantago ovata seed powder 2.600g, Plantago ovata (Ispaghula husk) seed cuticles 0.110g, Cassia angustifolia (Sennae fructus) fruit 0.337g, sennoside content expressed as sennoside B 0.015g.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, essential oil of carum carvi, essential oil of salvia officinalis, essential oil of peppermint, gum arabic, talc, iron oxide red (E-172), iron oxide yellow (E-172), iron oxide black (E-172), paraffin solid, paraffin liquid.
This is a medicinal product for oral administration. Do not take this medicine until one hour after eating. Bowel movements are provoked 12-24 hours after taking this medicine.
